Madagascar Rosewood Set A21 | Back and Sides | Acoustic Guitar
This is Dalbergia greveana, one of the rarest Madagascar rosewoods, one can see the difference by its violet color either darker or lighter. One of its special features is the interlocked grain, making it very hard and stiff. However, it is a bit lighter than Dalbergia baronii with a density of approximately 870kg/m3 measured by ourselves.
The acoustic properties are excellent, and the perfect balance between high resonance, loud tap tone, and long-lasting sustain shows harmonic complexity full of overtones.
These oversized sets are great for a jumbo guitar or any smaller size such as dreadnought, OM or classical guitar. Fingerboards, bridges, headplates and rosette squares are available as well. These were cut from 15 years old boards naturally air dried.
