2013 Engelmann Spruce Top 39 | Classical Guitar
There’s a long discussion about which is the finest spruce… Well, each one is unique, and we think it's more about what you want to hear. However, some luthiers say that the sound opens up faster; we agree. Some others use Engelmann not only for its excellent acoustic properties but also for its clear appearance.
This is a 2013 batch of Engelmann spruce (Picea engelmannii) for classical or OM guitar that has been naturally drying indoors for 12 years.
All are perfectly quarter-sawn with very little or no runout, and some came out nicely flamed and bearclaw.
However, some of them are a bit tight in width and thickness. We suggest checking your template measures before buying.
