This Brazilian rosewood comes from leftover boards that were destined for the manufacture of luxury furniture in a carpentry workshop in the north of Portugal, run by three generations of artisans from the late 19th century until its closure in the 1970s. This wood is estimated to be around 70 years old.

A nicely quartered set with contrasting spalted sapwood in the backs and the sides a bit narrow in on edge with 85mm. A crack in one of the back plates in the lower bout that will go away after sanding.
