Brazilian mahogany Acoustic or Classical guitar neck. Quarter / Riffle sawn with tight and straight grain. Air dried for over than 260 years. Brazilian mahogany is also known as Honduran or American mahogany. There’s some history behind this wonderful Brazilian mahogany, it was salvaged from the original Marquês de Pombal wine barrels. After the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, Marquês de Pombal after rebuilding Lisbon he took care of the winery that he gave his own name, where the famous “Carcavelos Wine” is made until today.
